It could be I am just a perfectionist, I have expected this paper to be oral, so to be in that 3.5% of the best ;) Our reviews were just so good, that I thought we would make it into that 3.5%
@at "1670 papers submitted, ~350 accepted, ~60 as oral ;)" BOAHH!!! Congrats! This wasn't a reason to post to #i-feel-angry :-)
No its a full featured publication!!! It will be in the proceedings etc. The problem is that oral presentation has often higher impact. 1670 papers submitted, ~350 accepted, ~60 as oral ;)
@at so it doesn't count as a publication? this sucks.
@cm We do not have an oral presentation, but we would present it as a poster. So staying in front of our poster and explaining people how our stuff works. Oral means you stay on stage and present it
@at what does it mean — accepted as a poster?
We got our paper accepted at CVPR'11. However I am angry that they accepted it just as a poster. Our theory is complete, sound and very novel. Maybe they are just scared about something really novel

I lost 1 hour, spent 2€ for parking only to discover, that all fucking stores are still closed at 9am!!! I fucking hate st. valentine!! :-E
@cm Press release for CeBIT. She is maybe doing a good work, however, I would need to change it anyway, since we want to "express" our coolness differently
@at press release for what?
ah, ok, but it's the work of her, let she do her work and do yours.
@labviewportal 11th grade in the school. Aarrgghh, this text sounds now really terrible :(
what is the 11th grade? | |||
Arrghh, a press release I wrote couple of weeks ago was changed by our PR women at the University from something which sounds good, to something which sounds like written in the 11th grade :angry:
