using the fact, that in dynamic scenes pixel values of SSAO are very coherent, the authors created a method to detect pixels which changes their value due to dynamic scene and update only them.

Yeah, Matthias paper is very exciting since it contains some "hand-build" hardware ;) In general it is an oscillator propagating waves over water surface. The important part of his work is the way how to compute wave parameters to represent desired BRDF.

@Alexander Berner the reception wasn't that well organized. Almost no beverages (it was hard to get something) and posters were placed very near to each other, so that it was very crowdy there.

The method is based on the idea to reduce number of center points required for surface reconstruction by radial basis function. The authors introduce a way to optimize for these center positions. The whole stuff is based on solving linear eq. system.

A method is an improvement for the marching cube reconstruction. This is achieved by replacing the linear interpolator of MC with the one presented by the authors.

the idea is to better utilize clients which get their video output from a server, i.e. as done by, for example, cloud gaming companies. The authors present ways to compress required frames sent to client by using data coming out of the rendering pipeline.

the method is based on automatic alignment of pictures taken with different exposures. The alignment is achieved by optical flow based approach. Finally the potentially shaked photos are used in order to increase resolution of resulting HDR images

A method to rasterize the interiour of a shape (2D, 3D) using wavelets. This is achieved by computing and finally combining wavelet coefficients of the boundary of the shape (i.e. edges). Very mathematically, but is maybe very interesting for our project!

It seems that this work is about to simulate optics in the eye due to disease. So it could be very helpful in the medical environment. If I understood it right the simulation works by emulating lightwave propagation in the eye.
